What if? That’s a very powerful question to ask. It can help you play, it can help you let loose and let go, and it can help you take your gel prints to the next level. How? That’s what this next retreat is all about! Join Carolyn Dube for What If: A Weekend of Gel Printing.
What is the 2022 retreat all about?
What If is all about play, the process of letting go, and gel printing. These 3 go hand in hand & during our time together you’ll see how to use them interchangeably thanks to those 2 little words, "what if".
We’ll start out by understanding the properties of the gel plate in connection to various wet and dry supplies. Then use that knowledge to let go, pushing your prints farther than they’ve ever gone before.
Friday night we’ll be creating our interchangeable texture tools in preparation for Saturday and Sunday full of gel printing techniques.
Saturday night, we've got a great surprise - - - an outdoor performance by Sage Fire Troupe of Dayton Ohio.
Then we’ll wrap up Sunday evening making journals from our prints. You don't want to miss this weekend of printing, playing and creative immersion!

What to bring
Just bring your itty bitty supply kit:
-
12-15 tubes/containers of acrylic paint in colors you love plus white and black
-
3-4 paint brushes in whatever size you prefer
-
scissors
-
apron
-
room in your suitcase to get all your prints and texture tools home

All other speciality supplies needed for this workshop are being generously provided by Carolyn!
Also consider bringing:

Comfy clothes, walking shoes, and a hair dryer.

BYOBeverages: adult beverages permitted, glasses, wine openers on site. Bring a drinking vessel for distilled H20, lemonade, iced tea, ice, coffee, hot tea, etc.

BYOSoda: no soda on site, you’ll need to bring your own to store in the two kitchen fridges.

BYOSnacks: You won’t go hungry — but feel free to bring your fave munchies. [Kitchen/Microwave/Refrigerator on Site]

Once the fun begins Friday afternoon, you won’t need to leave for a thing until check out Monday morning. If you need transportation from the airport, here are some options from the closest airport to St. Mary’s.

ticket policy
Due to the limited offer and high demand of this event please know you are joining us in firm commitment and are buying a non-refundable ticket.
Events and retreats are operating under uncertain times due to unpredictable and uncontrollable circumstances. If the venue, artist or event planner decides to cancel, you will receive a refund within 5-7 business days of the announcement.
We know that “life happens” and unforeseen situations may prevent you from attending Carolyn’s September retreat experience. If you cannot participate, please notify me as soon as possible. Due to event/instructor’s commitment, reservation/s and contract obligations all tickets are final, Pay in Full and non-refundable.
What if you can't come after you have purchased your ticket?
First: / Wait List: As the owner of the ticket, I will coordinate possible arrangements for the sale of your ticket to a person who wants it on the wait list. If a transaction is mutually agreed upon and completed, your spot in the event will be transferred to the other person.
Second / Public Notification: As the owner of the ticket, an interested person can purchase your ticket. Due to the high demand of the event we will offer our best effort to spotlight the ticket offer through event/instructor’s social media, facebook, email and blog notification but cannot guarantee its sale.
